RACE FOR THE RING (carrera de sortija)

The "sortija" is a ring. Carrera de sortija translates as "race for the ring", which is a typical competition among countrymen, and was one of the games gauchos would engage in. It consists in trying to get a ring from a kind of frame at high speed on horseback.
